The 2711PC-K4M20D8 PanelView Plus Compact by is an electronic device which allows users to interface and input information via its F1 to F8 Function, Numeric, and Navigational Poly-domed membrane keys. The machine’s status is graphically displayed through the passive-matrix (FSTN) 3.8-inch screen with a display area of 3.07 x 2.32 in. and a display resolution of 320 x 240 pixels in a 32-level grayscale format. The 2711PC-K4M20D8’s information is displayed with a brightness of 120 cd/m2 (Nits), and its LED display backlight has a standby time of 50,000 hours. It uses the 512 MB user memory for storing applications and has a 256MB volatile memory for application processing. It supports an external digital SD card slot with a memory capacity of up to 2 GB.

The 2711PC-K4M20D8 comes with pre-loaded Factory Talk View Machine Edition software and the application programming is done using the Factory Talk View Studio software. Connection to a single CompactLogix controller is made through the RSLinx Enterprise Software Version 5.51 which is installed with the FactoryTalk View ME software. The base RS-232 and 10/100Base T Ethernet serial ports are used for communication, and the single USB 2.0 port provides connection capability to External peripheral devices. The 2711PC-K4M20D8 has a power rating of 18-30V DC input voltage range (24 Nominal) and a 35W power consumption at 24V DC and 1.0A. It has a NEMA Type 12, 13, 4X and IP54 enclosure rating, and is built to withstand an operational vibration of 1G and a shock of 15G. The 2711PC-K4M20D8’s operating temperature range falls between 0 and 55 °C and it will function at 5-95% humidity without condensing.
