About 2711-T6C5L1

The 2711-T6C5L1 is a PanelView 600 series operator panel. The operator inputs data on this human-machine interface over a 6-inch display which supports a fixed palette of 32 standard EGA graphics colors. Although this display does not provide much space for graphical industrial process presentation, it offers fast data processing and precision and it is extremely durable. The high-performance level of the 2711-T6C5L1 is matched by excellent levels of reliability and functionality. The touch panel of the 2711-T6C5L1 is divided into 128 touch cells (16 columns x 8 rows). These cells let the users initiate functions by touching one of the cells on the screen. Interactive screen objects like buttons that are created by a programmer are aligned with the screen’s touch cells during the application creation. Each interactive object on the screen can occupy 1 or more of the 128 cells. The 2711-T6C5L1’s size is 14 x 11 x 8 inches, and its weight is 4 pounds.

The 2711-T6C5L1 is a 24 Volts DC power supplied device that consumes around 24 Watts of energy. This operator panel accepts a memory card which is used to store applications. It uses the RS-232 (DH-485) serial port for communication with PLCs (such as the SLC 500 and MicroLogix controllers) and other intelligent devices in industrial automation networks. The device has a COMM light indicator in the back to show when communication is occurring. It also has one general fault indicator for signaling hardware and firmware problems on the unit. The 2711-T6C5L1 PanelView 600 panel supports an alarm list queue to collect information on triggered alarms. It can store up to 100 alarms in the non-volatile RAM. The alarm storage in the list is designed by using the PanelBuilder32 software. A point-to-point configuration may be used to separate data according to the priority level. Alternatively, an AIC+ module can serve as a conduit for connection to the DH-485 network. An Ethernet connection or an SLC DH+ connection makes it possible to download or upload files by using the PanelBuilder32 software. The most common Series for the 2711-B6C5L1 are A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, and L and the most common firmware include versions 1.00 to 4.48.
