The 2711-B5A5 terminal is an obsolete PanelView 550 terminal, that
allows the users to interface with a machine. Its monochrome
display screen is an LCD with blue graphics and it is 5.5 inches
long. This HMI (Human-Machine Interface) utilizes the Panelbuilder
32 Software for its applications. Additionally, this HMI has an
RS-232 (DH-485) port for communication purposes, although it does
not contain a printer port. To connect the module to a network
through this unit’s RS-232 communication port, one or more
2711-NC13 communication cables are required. The 2711-B5A5 module
is a combination of a keypad input type and a touchscreen input
type of terminal because it comes with both a keypad and a
touchscreen that provide the users with greater input capacities.
Its LED backlight has approximately 100,000 hours of life and it
can be replaced with the 2711-NL1 backlight, and the resolution of
the screen is around 256 x 128.
The 2711-B5A5 requires an input voltage of 120 Volts of AC power at
47 to 63 Hertz. Its memory consists of 170 kilobytes of RAM
application runtime memory, in addition to 240 kilobytes of
available non-volatile memory. This module contains a real-time
clock that will timestamp all important data and it is battery
backed, allowing the users to replace the batteries when necessary.
This module also supports an ATA memory card. The 2711-B5A5 has a
