The MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC manual number is BNP-B3937. This MITSUBISHI
ELECTRIC MDS-B-SVJ2-20 servo drive unit is ready to replace your
defective drive and comes with a warranty.
Higher servo gain addresses the first three issues. Higher servo
gain in MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC model MDS was achieved by a combination
of hardware and software improvements, along with shorter lag times
for each of the control loops that help improves suppression of

Features of MDS-B-SVJ2
The MDS-B-SVJ2 Series servo drive unit is for NC,which was
developed as the successor model to the MDS-A-SVJ Series. It has
such features as below compared with SVJ.
1. CE Marking compliant (Compliant to European Safety Standard)
2. Installation convertibility with all the capacities of the SVJ
series
3. New model, HC motor supported
4. 100,000 pulse ENC supported (OSA104,OSE104)
5. Standard regenerative resistor is integrated in drive unit (All
capacities other than 100W)
6. Possible to integrate the battery for the absolute positioning
system (MR-BAT) in drive unit (Battery unit is also possible to
use.
7. By wiring the control power supply separately, possible to break
the power supply for the main circuit by contactor
8. New functions added (External observer, overshoot compensation,
adoptive filter, etc)
9. Motor brake and contactor control sequence output (DO output)
The MDS-B-SVJ2-01 does not have a built-in regenerative resistor.
If the load inertia is small, there will be no problem with the
capacitor regeneration (regenerative resistance is not required as
the circuit is charged with the capacitor in the amplifier).
However, the over voltage alarm (ALM33) will occur if the load
inertia is large. In this case, connect the external option
regenerative resistor.
